Northsiders, there’s one place you should be fighting today’s sweltering temperatures and it’s the Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre.

After an extensive 18-month redevelopment, it’s boasting a 10-lane, 50-metre heated pool and “nature-based splash pad” outdoors. Indoors, you’ll find three pools (one with an integrated spa), an aquatic play area with water slides, and fitness and wellness facilities.

Keeping the outdoor facilities illuminated all season long are:
