Not only is Stawell home to Australia’s largest foot race, the Stawell Gift, it’s also home to several major sporting complexes.

In 2021, the state government announced $1.8 million funding towards the redevelopment of one its core facilities, North Park. This included the delivery of three reinforced concrete netball courts, two shelters, seating, pathways, fencing and new lighting.

Completed in May 2022, North Park is now home to a set of 13.5m tapered octagonal poles fabricated and supplied by Urban Lighting Group, topped with luminaires delivered by BTM Electrical. The result is a sports precinct that delivers year-round entertainment to Stawell spectators.
